The Mirigama police said that a complaint was lodged with regard to the incident.
It is reported that Year-13 students of the school have harassed the victim on several occasions.
The victim Janith Maduranga told our news team that the ragging students collected money from him as well.
Janith Maduranga was admitted to Mirigama D.S. Senanayake Vidyalaya from an international school to follow Technical studies.
The victim is receiving treatment in Ward Number 7 of Wathupitiwala hospital.
When our news team contacted the teacher in charge of school disciplinary unit said that statements have already been obtained from the students who were involved in the incident.
